Dudley Council has kept its Matrix standard accreditation for a record eighteenth year, following a recent visit from assessors.

The Department for Education (DfE) oversees the Matrix standard, which recognises organisations that support people with skills, education and employment advice.

The adult and community learning team at Dudley Council was praised for its work in helping borough residents find new training and job opportunities.

Assessors noted strong systems for personal development, wellbeing, and quality improvement.

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for economy and infrastructure at Dudley Coucil, said: “Dudley Council is committed to supporting our residents to undertake a programme of lifelong learning and development.

“We want to support everyone to progress and thrive, whatever their career and work life goals may be, and over the last three years we have supported over 4000 adult learners to achieve their goals.

“It is wonderful the team has once again been recognised with the Matrix standard, and I would like to personally thank our adult and community learning team for their amazing work in this important field.”
