Aston University has opened a study hub in London to develop future business and technology leaders.

The hub is based at 200A Aldersgate and is set to welcome its first group of students in July.

Degree programmes will focus on areas including digital innovation, data science and artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security management, global business and management, and business analytics.

Aston University will work with Cambridge Education Group (CEG) on the project.

The location in central London puts the hub close to major firms such as Adidas, Adobe, Amazon, Deloitte Digital, Monzo, ITV and TikTok.

Students will have access to networking and practical experience with leading companies in the sector.

Professor Aleks Subic, vice-chancellor and CEO of Aston University, said: “The launch of Aston London marks a pivotal step in positioning Aston University at the centre of London’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.

“By establishing our presence in the heart of the capital’s thriving business and technology community, we are creating an immersive learning environment where students collaborate directly with industry leaders and develop cutting-edge skills.

“This new London study hub embodies our commitment to delivering inclusive, career-focused education that bridges academic excellence with real-world application.”

Subic added: “Here, in the world’s leading city for students, the next generation of technology and business leaders will emerge as the architects of tomorrow’s innovations.”

David Johnston, CEO of CEG, said: “It is a privilege to have the opportunity and trust from Aston to develop, build and recruit for the London campus.

“From day one, it has been important to all at Cambridge Education Group that we work together with Aston to deliver a suite of innovative courses, in exceptional facilities, in a location that is second to none.

“We are very excited to see the campus come to life and the incredible opportunities it presents to master’s students looking to study in London.”
